The Mumbai Anaesthesiologists Society was formed in October 2009. It is a Charitable body registered with the Mumbai Charity commissioner and is working towards imparting knowledge amongst the anesthesiologists via CMES and conferences.

The MAS is a rechristened version of the NEMAA. It started with delegate strength of around 100 members from North East suburbs of Mumbai and by 2015 Dec, it has grown to include more than 500 members from in and around Mumbai.

The MAS is a popular organization among the Anaesthesiologists in Mumbai and surrounding areas and is known to organize sessions providing practical solutions for day to day problems faced by the Anaesthesiologists in Operation Theatres.
